Visit
From the viewpoint of safety management in the mine, individual tours are not permitted as a general rule.
However, for educational and research-related organizations, visits may be accepted after
coordination.
Even for such groups, please note that the number of people and the day of the week
will be limited.
If you wish to visit, please fill in the necessary information and contact us by e-mail from six to two months prior to the desired tour date.

We will inform you of the final decision as to whether or not you can visit.
- Due to the special nature of the facility inside the mine, please understand that we may not be able to meet your request.
- If there are a large number of people, it will be necessary to arrange shuttle buses and security guards to accompany to the mine. In this case, the visitors will have to contact the bus company and the Kamioka Mining Co., Ltd. and make their own arrangements. Note that this will incur costs.
Every summer, an event called GSA (Geo Space Adventure) is held in Hida City.
If you participate in
this event, you can tour the facilities inside the Kamioka Mine. For details, please contact the GSA Executive Committee.
Super-Kamiokande Open Days
It has been held during the autumn season since 2016 (held online in 2020 and 2021).
