What to do if SuperK GPS error messages appear?

a) GPS warning messages:

What shift person should do:

• If either message appears only once, then no big problem, just a glitch. The GPS receiver has recovered again.
  Do nothing.
• If repeated messages (every 1-2 minutes or so), then possibly a problem with AC power in the radon hut.
  Go to the SUPERK-DOME-RADON-FREE-AIR STATUS window and issue the command d (for Display - same as if you routinely check the radon system once per shift).
  • If a new status display appears, then the radon hut power is ok!
    • Does the last line in the STATUS window "Running>"?
      Then there is no problem in the radon hut at all.
    • Does the last line in the STATUS window "Stopped>"?
      Then, yes, there is a problem in the radon hut! See next item.
  • If no reaction after issuing the d command, then there is power failure in the radon hut!
    Please try to go to the radon hut as soon as possible and restore power again.

b) Serious GPS error messages:

• In most cases (probably 99.9%), this means there is a power failure in the radon hut!

  What shift person should do:

  Check the SUPERK-DOME-RADON-FREE-AIR STATUS window to verify that the radon hut power is dead: if no return message comes after issuing a command (such as: d), then there is definitely no power in the radon hut.
  Please go to the radon hut as soon as possible and try to restore power!

  After power comes back, the GPS system should automatically recover within approx. 5 minutes. Best if you then stop the run and start a new one after the GPS data comes back. This will fix possible data errors caused by the GPS data gap.
